For the third time, Die KAMMER opens the doors to its distinctive world of imagination, filled with tales of love and life that range from the morbid and eerie to the heart-wrenchingly romantic and the tongue-in-cheek amusing, all lovingly staged. Die KAMMER has grown, becoming both larger and more playful. For alongside the already familiar yet still extraordinary Die KAMMER orchestration of tuba, violin, viola, cello, drums and guitars, a bass has now joined as a permanent band member, rounding off and completing the soundscape. Furthermore, this time round the new album features some truly extraordinary instruments and artists. For example, listeners can expect sounds from real barrel organs, music boxes and other rather curious mechanophones. With Vasily Dück, a renowned accordionist has also been engaged for the first time. And as a special icing on the cake, little ‘Sophie’ (no stranger to Die KAMMER fans) gets her own voice, brought to life by voice actress Sabine Bohlmann (Lisa Simpson, Maulende Myrthe, and many more). Thus, ‘Solace in Insanity’ offers even more variety and versatility. Through colourful arrangements, through poignant, melancholic melodies, through the audible love of handmade, acoustic music.
