With 14 tracks and over 60 minutes of playing time, Die KAMMER now opens its distinctive Imaginarium for the third time, featuring morbidly eerie, heart-wrenchingly romantic and tongue-in-cheek amusing little stories about love and life, lovingly staged. Die KAMMER has grown, becoming bigger and more playful. For alongside the already familiar yet still extraordinary Die KAMMER orchestration of tuba, violin, viola, cello, drums and guitars, a bass has now joined as a permanent band member, rounding off and completing the soundscape. Furthermore, this time round, some truly extraordinary instruments and artists make guest appearances on the new album. For example, listeners can also expect the sounds of real barrel organs, music boxes and other rather curious mechanophones. With Vasily Dück, a renowned accordionist has also been engaged for the first time. And as a special icing on the cake, little ‘Sophie’ (no stranger to Die KAMMER fans) gets her own voice, brought to life by voice actress Sabine Bohlmann (Lisa Simpson, Maulende Myrthe, and many more). Thus, ‘Solace in Insanity’ offers even more variety and versatility. Through colourful arrangements, through poignant, melancholic melodies, through the audible love of handmade, acoustic music. There’s violin and tuba, plucking and strumming, whistling and lute, jingling and clattering, strumming, ticking and rumbling – and, of course, singing full of passion. On “Solace in Insanity”.
