With 14 tracks and over 60 minutes of playing time, the KAMMER is now opening its unmistakable Imaginarium for the third time, with morbidly eerie, heart-wrenchingly romantic, tongue-in-cheek amusing, lovingly staged little stories about love and life. The chamber has become larger, larger and more playful. Alongside the already familiar and yet still extraordinary KAMMER orchestration of tuba, violin, viola, cello, drums and guitars, a bass has now been added as a permanent band member, rounding off and completing the sound. Furthermore, some truly extraordinary instruments and artists make guest appearances on the new album. For example, the listener can also expect to hear the sounds of real barrel organs, music boxes and other curious mechanophones. For the first time, a well-known accordionist, Vasily Dück, has been engaged. And as the icing on the cake, little Sophie (who is not entirely unknown to KAMMER fans) gets her own voice, brought to life by the voice actress Sabine Bohlmann (Lisa Simpson, Maulende Myrthe, and many more). Thus, ‘Solace in Insanity’ offers even more variety and versatility. Through colourful arrangements, through poignant and melancholy melodies, through the audible love for handmade, acoustic music.
